    The Deputy and the Homicide Detective

    This is a good book and part of a series. Brick and Maureen were thrown together when Brick almost ran down a woman that jumped in front of his truck. Brick thought he was hallucinating at first but then the woman was found and sent to the hospital. She was wanted by law enforcement.. She managed to escape. Brick and Maureen, "Mo", bailed each other out of jail and searched for the woman, Natalie who escaped from the hospital. She was accused of killing Mo's sister and son. Natalie died after a car accident. Later it was discovered that she did not kill Mo's sister and nephew. Brick and Maureen fell in love . Highly recommended book.
