It isn't going to be OLED level dark, but I have zero complaints about watching TV and movies on it (coming from a lower end 42" Samsung LCD TV). Tested games. Would rather just play them on a small screen and save the big screen experience for cinema, but the latency is low enough not to be a problem for those of us that don't take games too seriously. Strongly recommend.

The directions were minimal but only took a few minutes to figure out. The only downside was an 8-day delivery time (from California to Oregon) instead of the 2-4 day delivery time advertised. Customer service was immediate when I brought it to their attention; USPS screw-up and not Anker Outlet Store's fault.
