I like that it can be used in always on mode
The best advantage is the automatic shutoff is disabled when it is plugged into the AC adapter. This enables me to leave it in always on mode and never loose the weight readout to an annoying timer controlled shutoff like with my older battery only powered scale. It is accurate to .1 grams.
