Not real Dr Seuss quality
Several books recently published from his notes but he would no doubt have edited them further had he lived. Pictures are the familiar beloved characters but text disappoints. It just seems - OFF. Not sellers fault, I guess publisher is to blame?

I collected Dr. Seuss books to read to my granddaughter long before she could read, including "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish". As soon as I heard through different media sources about the wonderful new FIND, "What Pet Should I Get?, I had to order it for her ( and me ). I always was excited when she came over very frequently for us both to enjoy them. As she grew, she would pick the one, or ones she wanted me to read. Then as she learned to read, we took turns reading every other page. Then it got to the point that she would read to me & put her "Nana" to sleep. Such precious memories. The other day when she was spending the weekend with us, I told her that before she left, actually before she drove HERSELF home, I had a surprise for her. We snuggled up together in the same bed, her bed, at our house & I once again as it happened so many years ago, her "Nana" was reading a Dr. Seuss book to her. We laughed & giggled as the pet's names were so silly to rhyme with another word. We were both excited with the expectation of what pet they would get. We both agreed it was the perfect ending in the new book that may well be the first book a child of this new generation will hear, thanks to the genius of children's books, Dr. Seuss. My 16 year old granddaughter enjoyed me reading it to her as if she were such a small child. I don't know, but did Dr. Seuss' books help in any way that she is a rising Junior in High School making straight A's in all advanced classes. She is a drum line section leader in her HS marching band. When marching band season is over, she competes electively in drum competitions, winning or placing high on most of them. She can play almost any musical instrument. Drums, guitar, & piano are her favorite. She has a beautiful untrained singing voice, an artist who has won several art festival awards. She has also transitioned her artistic skills to enter computer animation, which she aspires to earn a degree in. Did Dr. Seuss' books start this new life on the path she is on now? maybe so... And if I should be so blessed, maybe I will have the delight to share this same special book "What Pet Should I Get" with my great granddaughter.Read full review

A brand new Theodore Geisel book after he died! What a gift!
What a miracle! I really did not expect this book! I loved the story and the artwork. It was a joy to read! I am giving this book to my 4 year old nephew Felix on his birthday. Felix has never read these books. Well it is time to introduce him to the best books of childhood!
