This author tells the truth - not an easy pill to swallow when one is wrong and has made poor choices (and who hasn't); however, if one wants to make a change, this workbook enables the reader to apply principles to make personal decisions that will effect life changing habits and promote a healthy attitude towards money and its use, and thus a more satisfying life-style. Surely not for the timid or one who doesn't wish to grow, but a good choice for anyone willing to take a challenge.
Fabulous workbook to go with the book of the same title (and the cd's/tapes too)!!! If you work the program you will have amazing results. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Dave Ramsey gives the average consumer EXCELLENT step by step plans on getting out of debt and building wealth. This is easy to follow once you commit to the plan. It provides for you to have fun money and also be able to give so it is easier to commit to and there is no "falling off the wagon." You have easy "baby steps" to get you going and Mr. Ramsey is soooooooooooooooooooo inspirational. To know that he has really been there and done that is the part that inspires people the most I think! He is not merely reporting statistics or a "formula" out of a book or from research. He has lived this and knows what he is talking about. I wish my parents had taught me the things in this book!! I am incorporating Dave's teaching with my children so they will be better prepared when entering into the "real world". A must read book that definately should be taught in every school in America! Dave Ramsey is an awesome person as far as showing you how to live debt free. The Total Money Makeover book is all you need to learn this. I bought the workbook because I thought it would give me the tools to reach my goals. It didn't because it's just a lot of brainwashing techniques and stories to keep you focused. I'm already focused so The workbook is just a regurgitation of the book. I haven't read any other books for getting out of debt, so I can't compare it. All I can say is if you have the book, skip the workbook. Remember you are trying to get out of debt, so stop buying all his other products. You should be able to teach your kids about money without buying another book by Dave Ramsey. He is a millionaire already, so how are you to reach his status if you keep purchasing his products.
