About this product

Product Information

Good Times, which ran on CBS-TV from 1974-1979, was a spin-off of the All In the Family spin-off, Maude. The series details the trials and tribulations of Florida Evans (who previously had worked as Maude's maid) and her family on the south side of Chicago. Florida (Esther Rolle) and her husband James (John Amos) are lower-middle class African-Americans living in a high rise housing project with their three children--wisecracking J.J. (Jimmy Walker, whose "Dy-No-Mite" became a national catchphrase), Thelma (Ja'Net DuBois), and Michael (Ralph Carter). James has trouble finding steady work, but through it all, the family sticks together. Veering between comedy and drama, Good Times was a landmark in U.S. television. This collection includes all 24 episodes from the second season.

    Good Times Tivo

    When I got my mother a Tivo, she couldn't figure it out. 'What do you like to watch?' I asked. 'You remember that old TV show with that tall skinny kid?' Took me a while to figure it out, but it was 'Good Times'. Go figure. So I found the 2nd season, transferred it to Tivo and showed her how to watch it. She laughed half the day. But she still can't figure out the Tivo.

    Good Times-The complete second season

    We couldn't stop watching this. Oh man and it taught good morals all the way through. Jimmy Walker is why I bought them and it was worth it. The whole family is awesome. No dislikes. People need to learn to get good clean wholesome family fun and these cd's are it.

    Good Times -2nd Season

    I just love Good Times, I could watch it all day, J.J is very funny. I decided to buy it because, I love them all, and I have just about completed my collection in buying them all. I think you would love not just one, but all!!!
