Product Information

Combat legions of orcs and other hostile creatures while wielding swords, daggers, axes, and bows as multiple enemies attack simultaneously. Howard Shore's epic soundtrack and film clips used as segues add authentic 'Lord of the Rings' ambiance. Return of the King follows the same exciting game structure as its action-packed predecessor, and as yet another added bonus, the voice acting on the game is provided by the original film cast. This game is based on the third film in the trilogy. Characters in this game are gifted with the ability to climb and jump, making it possible for greater interaction with their surroundings.

    LOTR: The King has returned.

    I played this game back in 2003, when it came out in conjunction with the movie. Both this and the Two Towers game that preceded it were great. The games were graphically well done and the actors lending their voices to the experience made it deep. You were playing the movie as you went along. The easy, medium and hard levels made for a manageable experience. It was a well rounded game that was entertaining. I appreciate the nostalgia whenever I watch the movies or play these games.

    Best Lord of The Rings game!!

    This game is great in reference to the movie. You can play as any of your favorite characters plus you can even unlock special secret bonus characters as well! It begins where Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers left off and then you can choose three different pathways on the level select screen in any order you choose. There are several combo moves you can purchase for your characters to make them stronger as they advance in level with the highest level being 20. You also get to unlock two special bonus levels when you complete the game too! You even have character voice overs for all the people in the game which includes the Orc's, Saruman, and everyone else! I give this game a 5/5 for great game play and everything else.

    This game is great in refernce to the movie. You can play as any of your favorite characters plus you can even unlock special secert bouns characters as well! It begins where Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers left off and then you can choose three different pathways on the level select screen in any order you choose. There are serveral combo moves you can purchase for your characters to make them stronger as they advance in level with the highest level being 20. You also get to unlock two special bouns levels when you complete the game too! You even have character voice overs for all the people in the game which includes the Orc's, Saruman, and everyone else! I give this game a 5/5 for great game play and everthing else.

    a two-player must!!!

    This a great game with high production values. It really gives you the sensation that you are in the game, especially the epic battles. Let me tell you, I have years of experience of playing video games and this one is honestly tough game. The way games should be, like Old school Nintendo games were. I would also recommend playing the LOTR:Two Towers as well. The one thing I would stress is the co-op play, it is soooooo much fun. Between battling alongside a friend all nite and hordes of opponents, you will emerge satisfied as another level is completed. By the way, its a Greatest Hits game, so you can get it for a great price.

    Return of the King video game for PS2

    I bought this game because I really liked the Lord of the Rings movies. After doing a little research online, I saw that it was rated fairly well so I decided to buy it and I was not disappointed. The game has pretty good graphics and does a great job of recreating environments from the movie. The only major drawback is that the character models don't look so much like their actor counterparts. Still this does not defer from really fun gameplay. The sound is where this game excels because it uses the actors from the movies voices' and also gives the sense that players are really surrounded by all sorts of action taking place. This game brings a lot of action and does a good job of putting the players into situations filled with chaos, just like the movies. Overall a good game that ...
