My Whirlpool Cabrio gas dryer is about 5 or 6 years old. The heat started cutting out about 2 minutes after it started up and for the rest of the cycle it would just blow cold air. I replaced the original coils with this set and it works like new again. Just looking at them, they appear to be exactly the same as the originals in construction and weight . . . they fit perfectly and, again, they WORK. They are super easy to install as well. The only tools I used was a Philips screwdriver and a 5/16 wrench. it took about 10 minutes. I shopped around and these were the lowest priced set of coils I could find anywhere. How long will they last? I can't answer that for sure yet, but after two weeks, I have no doubt they are quality parts.

Coils came in a plastic Whirlpool package and are OEM with the print on top. I was concerned that these would be cheap knock offs, but they are OEM. My issue was my dryer would heat initially, but wouldn’t continue to heat throughout the drying process. Clothes would be damp. Then finally the dryer stopped heating up altogether (the gas wasn’t coming on to be ignited). I had checked all the other sensors in the back of the dryer, and the timer -they all checked out. Even these coils checked out. However when I installed these new ones, no more problem and the dryer is heating again.

It is good not to have jeans that are still wet after two drying cycles! These valve coils though in my case were a bit of a challenge to replace are necessary to open the gas valve fully. The replacements provide were of the same quality as the old ones. I immediately noticed the dryer heating up fully (not just warm) drying our clothes.

My dryer would be hot for maybe a minute then get cold. I guess once the old solenoids warm up, they fail. Testing the old solenoids with a multi-meter was useless because they tested normal at room temp. These new solenoids made my dryer hotter than it's been in years and it STAYS hot! I'M SO HAPPY!

Looks like all the Maytag Dryer gas valve failure were caused by these 2 small coils. The valve itsself probably would never fail because gas pressure is so low . Since those small coil are so crucial so it is better to spend few dollars more to not install some cheaps junk coils on ebay to ruin the repair job.
