The game is a hit and miss. Some characters are broken while others are unplayable, especially on harder difficulties. The way the game deals difficulty makes the game unplayable after so many playthroughs. The stories were never really compelling except maybe one or two of them. Better than 3 in most areas.

Ah yes...Twisted Metal 4. The redhead step child to some...but to me, a classic. At the time, THIS was the best TM of it's time. YES, it was not made the same people who made the original 3 but still, for the new movies and ROB ZOMBIE, you have to let a little slide. Anyway, the controls are a little funky (I was using PS2 I admit) but still...once yu get the hang of it, piece of cake. The bosses are a little harder than the last batch so, makes for some fun times. Anyway, I think it's a hoot and a holler. ^_^
It's an amazing game, I've been wanting since I was 5 or 6 and now I finally have it, the graphics are great and everything about it is amazing, have a great day sir or ma'am

This was my most favorite childhood game to the point where I beat the game 3 times in 1 day. So happy to have this game again!

After experiencing the greats like Twisted Metal, and the Amazing Twisted Metal 2 I was greatly disappointed by 3. However 989 studios redeemed themselves with Twisted Metal 4. It is a far cry from Twisted Metal 2, but it is still a game worth playing. Whereas I only own Twisted Metal 3 to fill the slot between 2 and 4, I actually play Twisted Metal 4. The soundtrack fits the games theme, and the graphics are great compared to the previous game. Its actually surprisingly difficult to create a good game with nothing but cars and guns. Many have tried, and I dont remember any of them but Twisted Metal. The entire series is worth playing, and worth collecting.
Perfect condition, Hard to find and they had it. Love this game. And price was good

Let me just first say the the only game in the Twisted Metal series to get is Twisted Metal 2. The graphics in TM4 are improved over TM3 but still not so good. The gameplay and controls are still very clunky. The actual action itself is pretty fun if you can get over the graphics, controls and over-all gameplay. The boards are also non-inventive (but still better than TM3), but the bosses this time around are at least semi-difficult. This game added some new power-ups and weapons that aren't very good. As well as some boring new characters. One thing GREAT about this game is that the sound is much improved over past versions (even TM2). The replay value isn't so good either. When you beat the game, they don't really give you much extra. The good thing about TM4 is that most of the characters from TM2 are still around. In it's time, this game was alright, now it is just forgettable. Save your money and skip to TM2 instead!Read full review
This game is prett good. If you like twisted metal games, this game is not as good as twisted metal 2 or 3, but it is still pretty good. The graphics in this game took a turn from cartoony in TM3 to more edgy like the TM1 and TM2. This game was MUCH easier to beat than any of the other three except the final boss. To let you know how easy, while I was completely out of practice of the twisted metals, I easily got all the way to the final boss on any character.
