Natsume brings its quirky farming franchise to the PSP for the third time to once again let gamers cultivate crops, friendship, and love in Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley. Players take on the role of a young man who has come to the quaint town of Leaf Valley to assume control of his dead grandfather's dilapidated farm. But as soon as gamers arrive, they learn that the farm has already been purchased by the Funland Corporation, with the intention of turning the entire area into an amusement park. In order to save the farm, players must raise 50,000 dollars in two years by growing and harvesting crops, rearing animals, mining precious ores and gems, and taking on part-time jobs. As is the case with almost all Harvest Moon titles, Hero of Leaf Valley places a great deal of emphasis on relationships, both platonic and romantic, and the love and life choices gamers make will ultimately determine what conclusion the game offers.

Not the best Harvest Moon, but great for a handheld.
If you're a Harvest Moon fan, you'll know how addictive the games can be, and this one is no exception. Almost an exact copy of Save the Homeland for the Playstation 2, but it has fixed the majority of it's predecessor's faults. At the end of two years, you have the option of continuing (and getting married, but no kids) or starting again (like the original). I won't give all the details here, as they are easily found elsewhere (try ign.com, or even wikipedia), but I will say that it's pretty damn good. Sucks, I don't like this game one bit. Worst game in the series and would not recommend it to my worst enemy!!!! Waste of money!!!
