Synopsis
The adaptive changes in the patterns of cognition that are related to the brain activity are known as cognitive plasticity. Brain plasticity refers to the changes on a non-neuron level that can be stimulated by experience. Neuroplasticity encompasses the potential of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization. A few of its examples are changes in the circuit and network resulting from environmental influences, learning a new ability, psychological stress and practice. The changes may range from individual neuron pathways that make new connections, to systematic adjustments like cortical remapping.
