I understand that the book I purchased was on $8 and change and was listed as acceptable but when you ask for the book to be padded securely so it does not get damaged during shipping and they just throw it in a loose poly bag that's just not right. My book arrived at my door ripped and mashed. When I messaged the seller I get I'm so sorry can we offer you a partial refund? A partial refund on a book that's now garbage? No thank you. Seller did nothing else to try and make it right.

    Although this book is over a quarter century old, it still contains outstanding guidance for those who would, as I call it, "Eat Clean". Nathan Pritikin's research was truly pioneer work, for before this, science/medicine had little belief diet could affect heart disease (or hypertension, stroke, cancer & other significant killers). In this book, he offers anecdotal histories (including his own personal one); short, simple chapters on how the human body handles carbs, proteins, etc. He discusses why saturated fats are worse than unsaturated, & accomplishes this well, even if you don't have a degree in organic chemistry. (This is true for the entire book; it's written for the average literate human consumer, not scientists.) He gives overall diet goals (10% calories from fat; 10 % from ...
