Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Medienethik, Note: 1,3, Hochschule fur Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig (Medientechnik), Veranstaltung: Digitale Spiele I, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Computerspiele gehoeren heutzutage ganz selbstverstandlich zum Alltag. Und dies nicht nur bei Jugendlichen, sondern vermehrt auch bei Erwachsenen. Die schier unzahligen Spielgenres und deren ebenso zahllosen Spiele laden immer mehr Menschen dazu ein, auf verschiedenste Weise neue Welten zu betreten und zu entdecken. Dennoch spalten sich die Meinungen uber Computerspiele nach wie vor in zwei Lager auf. Die einen sehen sie als interaktives Kulturgut, welches seinen Nutzer auf immer neue Art und Weise fordert und foerdert, sowie durch die Vielfalt seiner virtuellen Welten Fantasie und Vorstellungsvermoegen der Spieler schult. Fur andere sind Computerspiele jedoch vor allem Zeitfresser, die ihre Nutzer dazu veranlasst, sich in virtuelle Realitaten zu fluchten, anstatt moegliche vorhandene Probleme ausserhalb dessen zu loesen. Zudem geraten haufig vor allem diejenigen Spiele unter Beschuss, welche ein vermehrtes Auftreten brutaler Gewaltdarstellungen aufweisen. Umso erstaunlicher ist es, dass im April 2012 ein Vertreter eines solchen Spielgenres fur den Deutschen Computerspielpreis in der Kategorie Bestes Deutsches Spiel nominiert wurde - und diesen kurz darauf auch gewann. Dass dies nicht ohne Kritik vonstatten ging, ist somit sicher leicht nachzuvollziehen. Welcher Natur diese Kritiken allerdings waren und warum dieses Spiel dennoch den Sieg erreichte, moechte ich nun, in der hier vorliegenden Hausarbeit, naher erlautern. Als Grundlage dienten mir die Artikel des Spiegel Online vom 25.-27. April 2012, welche sich mit der Thematik rund um die Nominierung des Spieles Crysis 2 bei dem Deutschen Computerspielpreis 2012 befassen.
