  • Newton's Kinetic Energy Formula...wrong or just Practical Joke?

Just as I thought, everywhere I search in Physics books NO Body can think of even a single use for Newton's Kinetic Energy=mass x Velocity Squared. In this book, Kuhn asked of the reader,"Do you think increasing Mass or Velocity would have a greater impact on the Kinetic Energy of an object?". His answer at the bottom of the page was, "Increasing velocity would have a much greater effect on amount of Kinetic Energy because of the formula." Well, the formula is wrong and I think it was just some stuff Newton was working on. They were trying out exponents a lot in his day, like the gravitational attraction between two bodies like the Earth and the moon which goes "Gravity is a function of the square of the Mass times the cube of the distance. Einstien used Newton's Kinetic Formula to fake a ...
