    perfect body, waggly shaft?

    Best tube cutter so far - large(r) diameter-capable, smooth bearings on knife and tube cradle. Quick release on shaft to acquire the tube and release it fast - shaft wiggles. Probably 0.5mm-ish. I thought it might result in a spiral cut, but in practice it doesn't. You can deflect the shaft to one side during the first turn and then it continues fine. Or do it without thinking - it'll probably cut fine! But if you open the cutter before finishing the cut-thru, blade might need a nudge to drop into the partial-cut groove before re-commencing. Build impressive = NICE KIT.

    Ridgid review

    I have bought many rigid products in my lifetime. This tubing cutter has one great feature that I wish was on my other tubing cutters. Having ball bearings for the rollers is the best idea they have had and putting the hardened cutter on for stainless steel tubing makes this the best value in a tubing cutter. I know this will last me for my last 10 years working as a mechanical contractor.

    Wow! I love this cutter!

    The difference between this and cheaper imported cutters is like night and day. This tool is crafted to cut light pipe and tubing easily and accurately. Ball bearings make cutting noticeably easier and accurate, and the quick adjust feature is something I never knew I needed until I had it. The whole tool is well made and built to last and will likely be the last cutter I need to buy. Very happy with this item. Plus it's made in USA, carries Ridgid lifetime warranty, and includes an extra cutting wheel. What's not to like?

    well made, still wobbles...

    best pipe cutter i've found. i use magnifying goggles to ensure blade starts cutting exactly on the mark, but easy for blade to shift off target as one tightens and rotates: the plunger wobbles with finger pressure until blade bites the pipe. Knowing this and using caution, once cut starts, all ok.
