It's probably my computers fault, but the game freezes every time I played it. I finally had to take it off my computer. But back in the day I played this game and it worked fine.

A fun RTS game.
Empire Earth could have easily been called Age of Empires 3 since the gameplay is so similar. As is typical with such games, resource collection, building institutions, and creating units is the bulk of gameplay. There are several ways to customize the game, including your choice of maps, civilizations, number of enemy civilizations, and so forth. One really good thing is that resources don't get depleted throughout the game, except for wood. That is, I was mining that same gold mine in epoch 8 as I was at the beginning of the game. Also, new units such as the hospital, prophets, wonders, and firearms add some interesting gameplay elements. One thing that I noticed was that the gameplay is slow, largely due to the huge amounts of resources that you have to collect to advance through the ... Also, the enemy AI is clever and ruthless even on the easiest difficulty setting. As with the Age of Empires games, diplomacy is a weak part of the game. Overall, I liked the gameplay, but I don't recommend trying to play through all 14 epochs--you can choose to limit the number you play--unless you don't mind playing the same game for days. Graphics are decent. You can zoom in and out, but probably will not find a need to do so very often. They are an improvement over the graphics of the Age of Empires games, but not much. The music is okay and the special-effect sounds are nice. The villagers speak in English regardless of their civilization. If you enjoy strategy games or are a fan of the Age of Empires games as I am, you should like Empire Earth. However, in my opinion, this game is not the classic that these other games are because of its lack of originality and rather slow pace.

Dear Friends, This is my 11th article in Ebay, 2 in Review page, others in Guide page. Empire Earth, it is a game that I buy because the Game design team having some guy from my beloved game many year ago as Age of empire. I do not think that it will provide the feature that too much different from Age of Empire.However, After I begin to play. I find that it is extremely exciting game. And, it should be the best in its time. I love the unit like magicians that can spell out for Earhtquake, Storm,Malaria and else. It is very fun for seeing him to walk aroud to announce about the God in the game. I love to see my high wall can stop the warloards of the opponent for a while can eliminate them by Nuclear Bomb. The killer of most if not all strategy games. AS good as AoE Conquerors.
This game is killer. It is similar to Age of Empires Conquerors in terms of gameplay, however, it has more content and it has simple yet eficcient gaphics... you can play alot of diferent ages from the prehistoric age through nano technology! This is not turn based, it is a real live game. It is a good game indeed if you like strategy games. You can play it online vs other people in voobly, Google it. Keep in mind that you can legaly buy this game and its expansion electronically really cheap. Only buy through ebay if you need the physical cd for a gift, like i needed it. IT is a top game that we sadly do not see in most contemporary games. Buy this game in a heartbeat. You will not be dissapointed.This game is killer.
