.07 gauge strings? Are you sure?

I am aware that anybody who is/was anybody playing electric guitar - particularly if you were interested in booming sounds, screaming bends, and Elmore James/Duane Allman slide - used heavy, heavier, and wrenchingly the heaviest strings going to make it happen. Cool. I had serious hand injuries and the dreaded repetitive motion (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) problems that exacerbated over the years, that finally necessitated surgical intervention. Or, as the the doctor offered, "Stop playing for a year and undergo extensive anti-inflammatory injections and physical therapy. "Dr., do you actually play the guitar? (m-u-m-b-l-e) I didn't think so." I must admit I have become a big fan of the Ernie Ball Cobalt line (.08 or .09 or .10) on a Fender Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix Signature left-handed ...

  • Dunlop strings

I ordered the rev.willy ,Billy gibbons ...these came to me in different packaging so I was confused a little..I figured these must be the same thing and they are as far as I can tell....I've used slinky brand for decades .,I love these even better and have already switched to these.....snappy tough with awsome tone

  • These will spoil you

I have been using Ernie ball cobalt 8's for a while and saw these Rev. Willy's 7's and decided to try them. They are really light and make playing a breeze. I'm afraid these will spoil me though, when I picked up a guitar I have with 9's on it, it seemed harder to play some riffs, I had no problem with using the 7's, so if get used to these 7's for a while and you go your buddy's and pick up his guitar to riff out on and his guitar has 10's on it, you might sound like an oaf or out of practice....haha. Anyway....The tone is killer, they last a while, your guitar plays itself. Remember though......Just because you can, doesn't always mean you should. These are a guilty pleasure.

  • Willy's Billy Gibbons "07" Gauge Strings

Great Product, Excellent Price, Incredibly Fast Shipping, who can ask for more? You'll be bending strings like you never have before with these strings...

  • Try it.

Guitarists have been deceived for years about strings mainly because suppliers like to sell them. If you use heavy gauge strings they WILL break more easily and will NOT last as long as far as tone etc. why? Because the TIGHTER the string the more likely it will break and the more it loses its elasticity. Strings don’t “go bad” just because of time passing if that were the case they would start going bad the moment they were manufactured and put into the package. They go bad because they are stretched. 7s stretch the least therefore they break less, have more “jingle jangle” and keep more of their frequency longer. Easier to bend easier to intonate.
