My husband are getting ready to try to have kids. I have not read the whole book yet, but what I have read is very informative. I am currently in the process of making changes to may eating habits and exercise habits to make room for baby. The book is also written in a playful manner (titles of chapters) so it is not boring and some of the things the book recommends are not discounted. It also has options on fertility treatments for people who may have trouble getting pregnant. Over all this book coupled with questions answered or suggestions made by my OB-GYN has prepared my husband and I for the next chapter in our lives with baby.
What to Expect Before You're Expecting is an excellent handguide for couples trying to conceive. It gives you great insight to the entire process and helpful tips and advice. My only complaint would be that this book, like all of the "What to Expect" series, tends to psych me out and make me think and feel things that are misleading. So if you tend to be be anxious about your body and it's tendencies then I would suggest only using this book as a reference guide when you have a specific question. Otherwise you might set yourself up for disappointment.
Was looking for books on pre-conception care and planning, and found very little in that area. I was pleased to see that the creators of another great book on pregnancy wrote a book on pre-pregnancy. So thanks for it!

Awesome fast delivery and great packaging. Love the information packed into this book. Even if you're not ready to conceive there's still really good information in here that can help you to become healthier. Recommend for everyone.

This book is VERY detailed! Which is perfect since that is why I decided to buy it. I was looking for descriptive answers to my questions. The only thing I don't like is there is a lot of in between information. For example there are columns for father-to-be in the middle of a paragraph that don't necessarily need to be there. I love all the info but it gets a little confusing for that reason. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is curious or needs more detailed answers and is like me and can't retain the info told in the excitement of the doctors office.
I haven't finished the book yet but I am about half way. Everytime I start to read I don't want to stop. There is so much information in the book and it makes you feel like it's directed toward you in chapters parts because you find some parts in the book that are exactly what you're thinking and answer your questions to the T! Even though my husband doesn't read anything other than his muscle magazines I also love how they have the little boxes dedicated just for dad-to-be. Reading the boxes kind of helps me understand how he is feeling throughout the whole process. The book has really helped me realize what i need to do with my body so I can have the healthiest baby possible :) Would def recomend to anyone TTC!
It came earlier than expected and was in great shape.

Very informative, however, this is not an easy read. I have read several "expecting" books and this one definitely gives that most information however it was very hard to just pick it up and read it for a few hours.
My wife and I BOTH actually loved this book. Very detailed, very informative, yet at the same time, VERY candid. We learned and laughed all the way through it. Great book for those who are thinking about trying to become pregnant. Would recommend to anyone. Even if you've already had a child and are thinking about another. 10 out of 10 stars!!
I love that the book explains steps by step all the details that you need to take in consideration before you get pregnant. Also, through the book you have gray boxes with information for the fathers to be.
