Bought Volume 1 years ago and decided it was time to add Volume 3 to the collection. Volume 3 is not as bad as some think and it sounds excellent. With the current vinyl bandwagon in full swing CDs can now be had for a song (pun intended) so you can pick up Volume 3 at a reasonable price. My LP records are overplayed and are only good for one thing: Framing and hanging on my wall. My CDs sound as good now as they did way back in 1987 when I began collecting. Good luck saying that about your LPs 35 years from now.

The "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3" is a nice little cd by a group of well-established musicians who contribute to the musical selections with their own brand of song-writing and guitar licks, accompanied by talented supporting musicians using an understated but complementary style. I, personally, think that music along with lyrics can impact people's lives positively, and the messages put forth in this compendium can provoke thoughtful contemplation on many things. This cd is easy to listen to and well worth investing in.
This is an enjoyable recording. I recommend it. I don't know why it's so hard to find volume 1, which is the better album.

i'm a huge Dylan fan so i love this one. Petty's good on it too. you can hear Lynn's influence throughout. Harrison too on guitar. maybe not as good as the first one but no Orbison on it. i still liked it a lot and glad i got it. it's one that i forgot about for a while. still a good album by a super-group.

The music suffers from comparison, the first was just excellent, this volume not so much. Not a CD I will listen to over and over.
