About this product

Product Information

Three years after the events of Phantasy Star Universe game, a new threat has arisen in Gurhal. Return to the story to play as a Little Wing mercenary in this classic portable game developed by Alfa System and published by SEGA. Part of the Phantasy Star Universe franchise, Phantasy Star Portable 2 was released in September 2010 exclusively for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) platform. Bigger than ever before, the Phantasy World universe features new characters, over 100 missions and more than 170 enemies, along with plenty of other expanded content including in excess of 2000 different weapons and items. This PSP game also introduces an enhanced combat system with new techniques and abilities to build upon the familiar combined battle system of previous games in the Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe series. Unlike in previous games, Photon Points in Phantasy Star Portable 2 are attached to the character and not merely to the various weapons they carry. Engage with other users through the four player cooperative and competitive modes. Take advantage of the online infrastructure mode to form a battle party with up to four players playing at a time via ad-hoc. Unlike a number of other games in the franchise, Phantasy Star Portable 2 has no monthly subscription for online multiplayer games. Other social interactivity features include all-new Battle and Challenge missions popularized by the PlayStation Online series, item, manual and title sharing and custom elements to decorate the 3D My Room. Players of the original PSP game will relish the opportunity to bring back their old character. Transfer any characters created in the previous game to Phantasy Star Portable 2, including their name and general appearance, and even be rewarded for doing so with a photon saber, a class-based armor unit and due recognition from some NPCs with an in-game achievement. Alternatively, create an entirely new character from scratch, tailoring their facial features, gender, body and even voice to specification. With stunning visual effects and music, atmospheric levels to explore, dynamic content and thousands of items, Phantasy Star Portable 2 has remained a solid and popular PlayStation Portable (PSP) game since its release date in 2010. It is also considered a strong contribution to an already successful games franchise with installments across a range of platforms, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast. Phantasy Star Portable 2 has an ESRB rating of Teen for fantasy violence. It was followed by Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity.

The seller never shipped my item, has horrible communication, would not answer or take days to do so. Ultimately I had to request refund through ebay. In my opinion people should beware of this seller.

  • Good but not PSO EP I and II quality!

I found this game very entertaining. From slaying endless hordes of monsters to customizing your equipment and character appearance, the game has a lot to offer. Psp2 is a hack and slash sort of game which incorporates and requires some sort of strategic thought depending on the situation you find yourself in ,and I find the gameplay quite rewarding as well as satisfying. If you like games such as Monster Hunter,Dot Hack, and PSO of course,(hack and slash games with rpg elements)then I can only speculate you'll fall in love with this game. IMO, this game does not compare to episode 1 and 2, but it is an acceptable replacment considering the crap floating in the market these days.Enjoy!

  • PSP2i is good, but Sony sucks at network security.

For the game itself, this would be a great game to kill tons of time. U can always find a way to invest more time in this game. Other than that, u might be able to register the product code on PS Store (under PSN). Well, everyone knows Sony sucks at network security. I purchased this game right after Sony got hacked, and so far, I can not even create an account(need a JP acc.) on PSN. Also, if u think u can have fun via Xlink with ur friend with CFW firmware, u r completely wrong. To my understanding from google, there is no result for doing this way. So, if u want to have fun with ur friends, u better make sure that ur friends living close to you that u can group with them via adhoc mode. Thank you, and this is a good game. I love this game.

  • Fenominal

This sequel to Phantasy star portable truly is a master development since it's predecessor. Explore the all ready familiar Gurall System 3 years after the events of Phantasy star portable. This game includes more missions and mission types, weapons a new armor system called shield weaves, new allies, a new starter class (the vanguard), new weapon (shield) a new blocking ability (do it by choice now,not by chance) and tons of more enhancements. One thing I didn't care for was the fact that although basic controls are covered and there are tons of information npc's on Clad 6 (the colony you live on), some advanced controls such as aiming down sight are covered a bit later in the early game. This means new players who want to cover a ranged specific class wont be able to IMMEDIATELY operate ...

  • An addictive and infectious character-building action RPG.

Whether you're a casual player or looking for a new hardcore gaming addiction, this game really delivers. it's simple enough to play for short sessions of 20 or 30 minutes at a time, or for hours. The simple action-RPG style is easy to pick up and fun to master. The gameplay is largely the same as the first PS Portable with a few tweaks. Character customization, as well, is mostly unchanged; with the exception of a few added outfits per sex/race. The big differences are the fully 3D home base and the player room. The story and characters, however, are vastly superior to its predecessor. From the onset, the main characters are curiously likable and full of emotion (unlike the robotic side characters of the first). All in all, this is a solid improvement over the first game; though not ...
