About this product

Product Information

THQ's best-selling racing series continues with MX vs. ATV Alive. Licensed vehicles under three MX and two ATV engine types are available for racing on ten courses. A new play mechanic called "bar-to-bar racing" is introduced in this version, which refers to the frequency of contact between riders for more intense competition. Other notable changes include improved terrain deformation, with riders altering the terrain in real time after every lap, as well as a revamped control scheme designed to bridge the gap between hardcore and rookie racers.

AMA Supercross Champion James Stewart appears in multiple videos to show racing techniques and tips for correcting collisions, sticking landings, and more. In addition to Stewart, playable riders include Nick Wey, Alex Martin, Ian Trettel, and Tarah Geiger. New courses, vehicles, gear, and play modes can be purchased separately as part of the game's downloadable content service.

    MX vs ATV Alive

good alternative to all the shooting games out there. graphics are good. One can level up easily but not so easy. different levels of play easy-difficult. can race others. good value. I got brand new. this price is same as other places used

  • Best of 360/ps3 era MXVATV Title

The best for this generation of console That is, for THQ games. This is the closest the series came to having proper physics without unnecessary crashes. It has short tracks just to prove that the micro-mechanics are deep and require proper input. I liked this one quite a bit better than Untamed and much better than Reflex oddly enough. This and Reflex are more or less departures from core mechanics in some ways. Reflex just doesn't feel like its predecessor at all but Untamed does. Alive is the only game comparable to the Monster energy and MXGP series imo.

  • A little work and this would be a SUPER game

It is fun, I wish there were better view angles that might make it easier to see the track. It is a little disapointing that only 2 tracks are available to start with until a person develops more points and more skill. I think I will seek out different versions of this game and try them also. I like that my wife and I can race against each other, a horizontally split screen would be easier to use than a vertical split. Cannot see enough of the track , even on a large screen tv.

  • great fun game

bought this game thinkin it woould be ok..turned out its awsome..realistic compared to other mx vs atv games.. bout it used here theres no bubbas compound.40$ later for the new downloaded content its awazing. basicly bought it brand new from the store on its realese date. not to happy with tht.. everything else is great. diff recomined this to anybody.. easy to follow the movements seeing i race to..best 60 bucks i ever spent..

  • My new favorite X-Box game.

This game is very fun but the controls are a challenge to new players. The online portion is very competetive, but also the best part of the game. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes SX or MX, racing games, or adventure games. My only complaint about the game is with the computer challengers. They all follow the same line around the track so by lap 4 the rut is very huge and annoying. That doesn't happen online because everyone chooses a slightly different line around the track.
