Awesome double CD/book with knowledgeable text and great pics that charts the year 1970 when Bowie turned from hippy folk singer to glam rock god. Aided by Tony Visconti and later on Mick Ronson it's a fascinating journey. Musically, it appears to be the bulk of 1970 Bowie's recorded output: BBC broadcasts, 45 rpm singles, even a theatrical play (though fair warning: it does not include the original "Man Who Sold the World" release). For those who prefer "Man Who Sold the World", this is pretty much essential.
