Based on the 2003 summer film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is a first-person shooter that closely follows the events as depicted in the film. Terminator 3 also marks the first time Schwarzenegger's likeness and voice have been used in a video game. Cast in the role of the original Terminator, players must embark on a time-traveling odyssey that will take them from the apocalyptic wasteland of a SkyNet-controlled future to present-day Los Angeles in a desperate attempt to save mankind.<br><br>Players will explore more than 20 areas while pursuing the deadly T-X Terminator, some of which include laboratories, military bases, and downtown city streets. Once players meet up with their assassin counterpart, they will be able to use a combination of weapons and melee attacks to impede their rival's progress. Included in the arsenal of available weapons are rocket launchers, lasers, assault rifles, and grenade launchers. The Terminator can also smash opponents against walls and perform two-handed chops or powerful kicks, among other moves, to subdue attackers. <br><br>In an attempt to blend film and game into a seamless whole, Terminator 3 features an extensive use of film clips to help further the story. In addition, the film's director shot five minutes of exclusive footage designed specifically for the game. These new scenes, shot with Arnold Schwarzenegger, are designed to reveal more about the Terminator's origins and its mythology. Rise of the Machines also lets players experience the role of the Terminator before it was sent to rescue John Connor, fighting on the side of SkyNet to battle a ragtag group of freedom fighters in the distant future.

    Terminator and the PS-2 controls: Challenging!

    Pros: The graphics are very well rendered and the scenes shown are very much like watching an extended version of the Third film and beyond the film. Gives you many upgrades and choices of weaponry, Voices of each character are rich in sound and the music is perfect for the game! Among all the other Terminator games on the PS-2, this is strikingly te best one as far as for first person shooter games! Cons: The weapons somehow dont quite pack a punch when shooting and smacking a Terminator with it. The "first person" mode is very weak compared to most shooting games with this method of play. Arnold walks way too slow in this game, and as far as killing the machines and air craft gets to repetitive and you start to yawn.     A run & shoot/kill game in the 1st person. The review parameters, required to complete this ebay review, require me to type in at least 100 characters. This garbage that I am writing now is that 100 characters. I hope that I did'nt waste your time too much. Not sure if I am getting close to 100 characters yet; buy let me stop now as the post lady is here; and I likely need to help her with my last ebay shipment.     It Wasnt that bad...

    cutscenes do resemble the movie, so i'll give credit for that. 70% of the game is first person view. I was a bit disappointed in that. one of the things i enjoyed about the game is fighting the TX. you'll get to experience combos and even tossing her all other the place. the game does have cheat codes, for example all weapons, infinite ammo, invincibility, extra life. the game is not all that great but it wouldnt hurt to rent it first, if its still out there.

    Exciting for teens and men, very realistic

    Very exciting game and realistic like the movie. Husband and my 2 boys love it. Keeps the men entertained for hours. Husband couldn't do it all so my 11 and 14 year old boys had to help. Good graphics for PS2, Better than the Dawn of Fate game. Arnold sounds just like in the movie and great movie scenes. Bought this game for my husbands birthday on April 2013.
