Essential second charger for your spare battery
I've had the Grass Hog for 6 years and kept both batteries constantly charged. The second was being charged by a DIY charger. I decided to purchase a second HPB18 to make the hookup easier. It is important that after the battery cools down from use to charge and keep it charged. Never let them sit discharged for an extended period of time, that is when they start to fail. Original equipment performance at half the price.
The 18V slide drill battery I purchased for my Black and Decker cordless weed wacker was an exact replacement for the original five year old failing battery. Charged it up and finished the entire yard on a single charge...just like when new! Costs about half a new Black and Decker battery. Glad I repaired rather than replaced. Good for the environment and the wallet.

New life for an old B&D product
I was very pleased to locate this battery for a Black and Decker product that I purchased many years ago. And, it was available for a very reasonable price considering the age of the product line that used this battery. It is not available at local retail battery stores.. I was also glad to know that chargers are still available for this battery.
