Father John a childhood medicine
This is a product from my childhood and anytime we were sick it got us back to being healthy kids. My daughter works for a large company and they are passing out sickness like it was candy. The employees have an unknown viral infection and once you get it you are fair game for a second and third round, there are no meds that will knock out the virus it has to run its course, with this virus came a horrible cough. I started to think about my childhood and started looking for this product online and grateful that it is still available. Taste has changed
I used to use Father John's medicine as a child, back in the 60's. The taste was unique, but after I got used to it, I actually enjoyed it. It's color was a dark beige. When I received my bottle, a couple of weeks ago, I was surprised to see this black, looked like tar, liquid coming from the bottle. I gave it a taste. I can honestly say.....it was the worst tasting substance, I have had, in my life. I don't understand, why the company changed the color, and especially the flavor, but I was extremely disappointed.I used to use Father John's medicine as a child, back in the 60's. I used to buy old fashioned cough syrup in England years ago and thought this would be similar in taste but it's thick in consistently and tastes like cod liver oil and licorice. It does help smooth the throat.
