    Outstanding lens… if you can afford it.

    The IQ on this lens is special. It’s big, with a R5 without the grip you are holding the combo from the lens. Made in Japan, this “L” lens is all about image quality. A little bit of focus breathing make it a better choice for photos rather than videos… For videos the RF 24-70 F2.8L IS is probably a more useful lens. I own the 24-105 F4L, the 24-70 F2.8L the 28-70 f2L… They are all good lenses for different purposes. For it’s intended purpose the RF 28-70 F2L is a top lens. I have been waiting a while before pressing the trigger on that lens because of it’s price but it is now an essential part of my Canon system. I think you get what you pay for with that lens and I can easily recommend that it if you can afford it.

    'Holy grail' of Canon RF line-up.

    Right throughout it's entire range it gives stunning results, rather like a high end prime lens but with usable adjustments on hand.

    Amazing image quality, sharp even wide open, beautiful rendering. Yes it’s heavy, but the compromise is worth it for this do it all lens.
