    Good all around camera

    It definently is a good all around camera. Great indoors and out. Has the capability to outperform all camera manufacturers in it's class. What I liked especially about this camera is it's quick fluctuation from light to dark atmospheres and it's quick shutter speed. This camera has the flip up flash and 4x zoom with a 28-110mm high resolution. Let me tell you folks-this thing really zooms in. What I don't like about it is it is a 35mm so you can't see your photos like a digital(but they are picture perfect nearly everytime)and it's weight. It is heavy for a smaller camera. For a novice to professional, this is a great camera.

    The Camera

    I purchased this particular model because I knew it was a high quality camera and had the features I was looking for. My son is taking photography in school this year and this camera had extra lense, auto/manual focusing, and automatic advance. We have other 35mm cameras for doing stills over stills and this new to us camera is an excellent investment for an extremely reasonable price. davidb4821

    COMPACT SLR - QUALITY SHOTS

    This is a great camera when I want to travel without all of the lens. The zoom gives flexiblity, the automatic settings are convenient, it's fast, this one offers panoramic shots (I don't use often but it's nice to have for those few special spots), and battery life is decent. It's taken wonderful, clear shots. Great camera for the money.

    Pocket size

    This camera easily slips in my jacket pockets and I take it with me every time I go out. Simple to operate however I have not used the zoom function. One more shot and the roll of film can be developed.

    Olympus IS-30

    The Olympus IS-30 is a small, light point and shoot 35mm camera with a nice zoom lens that can now be bought for very little money ($20 to $30). It is idea for candid shots. The main disadvantage is that you might have to use ISO 400 film rather than 200 or 100 because of the speed of the lens especially at the higher focal lengths.
