A nice sturdy knife
This has a nice, sturdy full sized blade which I like. I think the handle could be beefier and more comfortable to grasp and the securing snap on the sheath could be higher on the handle to prevent the finger stop on the blade from catching on it... BUT overall this is definitely a nice knife and good value from what I have seen so far.

Good steel, well manufactured, great price and a good value.
Many go on and on about Schrade knives no longer being manufactured in the United States. Schrade closed its doors in 2004. It is time to get over it. I have three "Old Timer" knives that are all made from 7Cr71MoV steel. This steel is not the 1095 Carbon Steel, nor the 440C Stainless Steel of bygone days. The "carbon copy" of Schrade's "Old Timer" "Sharpfinger" (Bear & Son Cutlery #753) is manufactured from 440A Steel. This is about the same as Schrade's 7Cr17MoV, but without the added Molybdenum and Vanadium for additional wear resistance and toughness. There has been some criticism of Bear & Sons knives that their "fit and finish" is lacking (poor fit of scales to blade tang and mediocre manufacture of said scales). Schrade 15OT Part 1 of the Triple Threat
This one pf the best designs that Schrade ever made. It is one of a “set” of three that for goes together, 152OT, 15OT, 160OT, and there are a few that could go with it as well. The materials, the construction, the workmanship is still as good as it ever was.
