Bang the Drum Slowly
I remember reading the novel as a kid, like when I was in JR. High School.. Seen the movie on video years later.. The dynamics between the actors Robert D and Michael M were great.. very touching fictional story that years later was developed in the real story of Brian Piccolo and Gaye Sayers in the book and move Brian's Song... Sports scenes in Drum are good for the time period of the movie... Must see movie for Baseball Movie Junkies... right up there with the Natural, Major League, Bull Durham, Pride of the Yankees...Field of Dreams...I remember reading the novel as a kid, like when I was in JR. High School.. Seen the movie on video years later..
