    This Nook HD is way beyond my expectations. I was so disappointed with my first nook purchase, It did not work at all, then this Nook sold me on the 9 inch HD screen. I was content with the reader portion, then I started to explore some of the other features and Wow, I highly recommend this to all buyers. At this price, you can not go wrong.     Lesson Learned

    Although The nook works just fine what you don't know is that the battery life gradually decreases over time and is not replaceable. It will work just fine if you if you keep it plugged in, but for all intents and purposes it is not portable. I now own four nooks and I love them but when the battery life dies I will have to replace them. lesson learned.

    Great display; can run newer Android with some tech savvy

    I've had one of these since it first went on the market, and just bought this one. Thanks to the technical info at xda-developers and LineageOS, they're both now running Android 7.1.2 with some lag but beautiful displays. If you're comfortable with the nuts and bolts of DIY OS upgrades, this is a great way to play with newer software on older hardware. Highly recommended for tech experimenters!

    Nook is a great product.

    I have used one for several years now and love it. I bought two more for my children. I like being able to add extra memory with an sd card. I like copying things to the nook in the same way one copies to the computer. I hate having to use software like I do on my zune, or ipad. The size of the screen is nice. Too bad barns and noble didn't continue with the 9 inch nook hd plus.

    Great Tablet at a Bargain Price

    I'm a fan of this tablet and I've tried a goodly number. I own 3 and I've gifted 2 more. It nicely fills the spot between a 10" tablet that I find too big and a 7" tablet that is just a little too small. Battery life is excellent, often living in my laptop bag for months and still holding a charge. In use I get 2-3 days of heavy use on a charge. Memory is 8GB minimum (internal) with a standard micoSD slot that can take up to another 64GB of memory. That's a LOT of books, games, and apps. I use mine mostly for reading and an occasional movie while traveling. I can fit 6-10 movies and 2500 books in memory and still have room to spare. Screen is excellent, even by today's standards, which is something considering it has been discontinued for several years now. The one criticism it deserves ...
