It was extremely difficult to remove due to age. But this was a NOS part and that issue was outside the seller's control. The protective layer was evident in the photographs, but I did not anticipate the difficulty in removing it.

Seller description was NOS. Item as seen in pics is clearly “Used” condition. Due to discoloration on both sides. Note the screw head scoring around mount screw hole, and on the other side pitting/corrosion. I’ve rated transaction 5 stars because I would have bought it even if was marked used.
