Their are many great genres of music and many talented musicians in the world but when S.R.V. Arrived anybody who heard him (including me) knew we were experiencing something magical. Critics will always look for an angle to cheapen or reduce an individual artists talent level but they couldn’t with Stevie he was probably the purest gathering of musical energy ever placed on earth. He was a channel of Devine musical occurrence. From Texas flood to Couldn’t stand the weather to soul to soul and his final release in step he continually increased his amazing level of talent. Classic Texas blues guitar, at it's finest !!
If you are a fan of hearing a maestro, make a guitar talk to you, add to it a touch of the blues, and you have Stevie Ray Vaughn on Couldn't Stand the Weather. I feel this CD is a must have, if you enjoy SRV music, and his tremendous guitar playing. Certainly he had had more popular "radio songs" and if you are a fan of those, than by all means, buy those CDs too. If you want to enjoy some Texas sized blues guitar, I don't know of any better.If you are a fan of hearing a maestro, make a guitar talk to you, add to it a touch of the blues, and you have Stevie Ray Vaughn on Couldn't Stand the Weather.
