A great bio on one of my favorite authors!
Beverly Cleary is such a wonderful author and person. I was suprised at her upbringing, it was such a different time period she grew up in. While she doesn't sugar coat it, she brings to life this time and place....so less complicated then today. In my mind she's a down to earth hero. I enjoyed reading her autobiograhy and thank you for having it available.

Great Story About Portland 100 Years Ago
Great story about early 20th Century life in the Willamette Valley and N. Portland. Beverly Cleary is a renowned author of wonderful children's books and in this title writes her detailed memories of growing up here 100 years ago, complete with her family photos. Very interesting and engaging!
