    Missed Perfection by ... That much!

    This is a good value product. What kept it from being excellent is that the MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration system) is Basic, not Pro! This Pioneer Elite Series AV Receiver should have, at the very least, MCACC Advance. In addition, you have to use an external acoustic calibration tool to adjust the equalizer to the proper frequencies that balance the tone of your speakers. This makes the receiver challenging to set up.

    Crystal clear sound, full features.

    Awesome AVR, very clear sound at all sound levels. It's the last model to use the Pioneer legendary HD amplification. The next model LX503 is using the regular Onkyo amplification.

    Pioneer SC-LX502

    amazing addition to my HT downstairs! at first the wife was sceptical about getting this. “it is too ugly” - I can almost hear those words, now. after I hooked everything up (7.2.2 sound), placed the unit in my AV rack, powered it on, & started watching ‘Saving Private Ryan’ on our OPPO. her mind was changed. looks good. sounds even better. I have always loved Pioneer - glad to have the SC-LX502 powering my modest HT.

    Easy it install and set up
