About this product

Product Information

Join Alex Cross in a heart-stopping thrill ride as he pieces together the clues of two gruesome murders. Will he find the killers in time? In the middle of the night, a controversial U.S. senator is found murdered in bed in his Georgetown pied-a-terre. The police turn up only one clue: a mysterious rhyme signed "Jack and Jill" promising that this is just the beginning. Jack and Jill are out to get the rich and famous, and they will stop at nothing until their fiendish plan is carried out. Meanwhile, Washington, D. C. homicide detective Alex Cross is called to a murder scene only blocks from his house, far from the corridors of power where he spends his days. The victim: a beautiful little girl, savagely beaten and deposited in front of the elementary school Cross's son attends. No one in Washington is safe-not children, not politicians, not even the President of the United States. Only Alex Cross has the skills and the courage to crack the case, but will he discover the truth in time? A relentless roller coaster of heart-pounding suspense and jolting plot twists, Jack and Jill proves that no one can write a more compelling thriller than James Patterson, the master of the nonstop nightmare.

BACK OF BOOK SAYS: SOMEONE KILLS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL MEN IN THE U.S. SENATE AND THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING.S OMEONE MURDER A SMALL BLACK GIRL ON THE MEAN STREETS OF WASHINGTON AND ON ONE SEEMS TO CARE. but only d.c. homicide cop alex cross suspects that the evil striking down both the high and low wears the same shocking face. now in his most terrifying case, cross must stop a deadly force before it destroys the very foundation of this nation. i didn't care for the child murders. however i kept waiting for gary to show up. he always reveals one killer semi towards the end, but holds the last one until the very end. i would have liked a little more explaination, but it was still good. i recommend the audio it's cool, sounds like sam spade. wondering what will happen with the ...

  • Great book

Great book.as James Patterson is a great writer of horror novels. The book begins at night, with a man calling himself Sam Harrison, wearing a disguise and stalking United States Senator Daniel Fitzpatrick. Sam plans on killing the senator, and has been planning this for quite some time. The Senator has just gone into a bar with a young woman. Sam is very sharply dressed, to blend in the bar. After a few minutes he strolls into the bar and waits. Soon he goes upstairs to the Senator's flat. The young woman answers the door. "Jack" she says. "Jill" he replies back. In another part of Washington DC, another killer was hiding in a "tent" among an area of thick pines. He is also putting on a disguise, but his is like a homeless person. He walks toward a poor neighborhood and blows up a ...

  • Jack & Jill

James Patterson is one of my favorite authors, I have read all of his books, And my only complaint is that he doesnt write fast enough, I need at least one new book every week :O) I wont divulge any plots of the book because if you are like me you dont wont to know the plots until you reach them in the book. But I do highly recomend this book.
