These speakers are super awesome when used with a good amp and filter!
I bought two of these SWS-8x speakers and the adaptor rings for them. I routed new cables and hooked them up to my T2 amp. These babies will almost knock the air out of you when set up correctly. Use a good bandpass filter and these babies will give you the best mid-bass. If you use these as a full range subwoofer, you won't need any other sub in the car. Buy these speakers! Excellent upgrade for factory subs when used with aftermarket amp like match up7bmw
They are less efficient at midrange than factory but go deeper with more authority, so having the extra power and ability to run xover points is key to getting best out of them.

Almost perfect
I purchased this product since it had been discussed a number of times on the BMW site. The bolt patterns were that of the BMW OEM speaker, but the depth was not the same, and the connections were quite different. I was able to modify the connections and by cutting the OEM connector off, I was able to solder the inks for my use, but the speaker did bottom out in the compartment, and that was the only way it fit. I appears to be working, but I do not like to mount any speaker to a solid back-plane.
