Multiple teaching aspects & is fun too
15 month old grandbaby girl just loves using this elephant toy. It is fun for her while at the same time teaching her to correspond the shape as well as the color of the pieces to the entry openings on the body. Also she has learned to wind the 'tail' around to spin the body. So there are multiple educational pathways in its design. The only thing that could be a slight drawback is that the pieces keep falling out the front part when full but that may be an intended part of the play action. At first she only put the pieces in the 'nose' part rather than into any entry holes but I think it was because she was younger when I got it & hadn't yet developed the thinking capability to sort the pieces. But she has progressed in the piece sorting & placement into a few of the openings now because she plays with it regularly. I really like its cute design & larger openings for the shapes, making it a bit easier on the learning process because of the increased successes in sorting the shapes into correct openings.
