    Heavy / powerful

    My unit came used so I have to evaluate a used Dyson. This is a very heavy machine. When you pull the vacuum cleaner backwards it tends to buck and does not vacuum smoothly it works good in a forward motion.The newer ones do not weigh as much and are a better vacuum I feel.. But it is powerful. They improved the hose in the years following .thank you

    excellent cleaner

    I bought this machine because my dog is a heavy shedder. It works beautifully, much better than my prior vacuum, in terms of picking up the dog hair and dirt. The hose extends long enough that I can vacuum the entire stairway. The canister is easily emptied. I have two minor complaints about ease of use: the handle release is somewhat stiff and the end of the hose is not flexible to allow easy access in some spaces.

    OLD SCHOOL DYSON.

    I bought my first DC07 back in 2000. It was an incredibly effective, utile, sturdy machine. It is simple to fix and it stood up to real life use in a home with 2 to 5 dogs, carpets from wall to wall to area rugs in sisal to berber to shag, tile and grout floors and vinyl floors. It is still in use today. During the intervening 14 years I purchased a DC33, which I found to be light weight flimsy and no better than any other vacuum. Then a refurbished DC17 that was in operable upon arrival, and the seller an absolute nightmare. When I saw this DC07,new in an unopened box I bought it and kept my fingers crossed. It is the same well made excellent sturdy effective unit that I bought 14 years ago. I can live with the purple and green colors if it means having a vacuum that works and holds up.

    OMG!!!!! BEST VACUUM I HAVE EVER OWNED

    I am saving up to get the animal ball. This sucker sucks. Its easy to use, easy to clean. The attachments are already attached. You don't have to attach the upholstery hose. Its already there. Just push a button & it converts from a floor model to a canister vac. And, I repeat, it sucks up everything. I have 4 animals, including a long haired cat. I no longer have to use a wet rag to get her hair off my furniture. I have NEVER had a vacuum like this. Before I got this one I wouldn't have believed anything could clean my carpet & furniture like this. It rocks.

    Best vacuum cleaner ever made for pet owners.

    I have owned many other vacuum cleaners in my life-time but my Dyson Animal is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used! I can't believe the difference in my rugs after using this machine! I have 3 dogs and and don't know how I ever lived without this machine before! If you have pets that shed, then this is the best vacuum cleaner for sucking up all that pet hair. The design and durability is fantastic.
