As expected and quick shipping. I can definitely tell a difference over the smaller boxes I had my 6.5” subs in. These are louder and better sounding bass for sure! Recommend item and seller. Thank you!

    Totally worth buying.

I have a JVC 6.5" svc 6 ohm woofer that I have owned at least 5 years. I forgot where it came from, but it looks to be from a home cabinet. I used it to test radios and small amps and never got rid of it cause it looks sturdy and has sweet suspension travel. Never got a box for it for it was just a test speaker. But I sure wanted to box it. I was browsing eBay when this TUBO appeared in my recommendations. Read the reviews and decided to buy. Installed the JVC when TUBO arrived and DAMN SON! The JVC sounds awesome in this tube! I hooked it up to my JL XD600/1 and got lost for over an hour. I listened to bass tracks, heavy metal, cumbias, r&b, baladas, & 80's pop. It all sounded damn good. I only stopped cause my mechanic dropped off my truck and needed a ride home. Here are the cons. 1) ...

  • Top critical review

The enclosure is entirely Made of CardBoard, Screws won't stay in due to soft nature of cardboard.

The box is designed a little small for a vented enclosure. The design needs be about 3 inches longer to have decent bass. That is easily fixed as you can invert the woofer to compensate. This may even vary from one enclosure to the next due to a few craftsmanship variables internally. The terminal cup leaks and rattles. The wire inside is very thin gauge. Still I could deal with this since its so cheap. The part where the speaker mounts is also cardboard like the rest of the enclosure. The screws barely bite in. I tried using a thru bolt set up with washers to deal with this, but it tore through the mounting flange in a few hours of use. I could deal with the tube being made of cardboard if the mounting surface was rigid enough to hold the woofer in place sealed tightly without coming ...

  • The perfect amount of depth needed for my mids

I have an astro van that had all kinds of powerful bass and highs, but the mids suffered. I had pretty decent vocals I. The front of the van, but it was hard to balance talking and enjoying the music without killing your ear drums. I decided to had more of the vocals to the back of the vehicle, but unless I spent a small fortune on high end speakers to get the sound I wanted it wasn't gonna happen. I tried these tubes to help enhance the sound of my struggling mid section and I must admit these tubes did the trick. I put three different brands of speakers In them and all of passed the test. Speakers are mostly about being able to tune them in for the best quality sound, rather it be deep or hard bass, and also the mids. Best addition I have added for sound quality hands down.

  • built cheaply but cost to build it would be much more in materials

i purchased this box for a CT MESO 6.5 and couldn't get an answer on the internal volume specs. now that i have it, ill leave this information for those interested. - the main tube is indeed cardboard 3/8" thick (resembles a "sonotube") - internal measurements are 15" depth by 7" wide which calculates to an internal volume around .334 cubic feet. - port is constructed out of 1/2" MDF and has a length of 13" and average width of 3 5/8" and height 1 5/8" making the port volume around .0443 cubic feet - included wiring includes a 1 7/8" spring terminal cup that isn't secured at all along with 23" of what looks to be 18 AWG wire - mounting surface for the speaker is constructed from 1" thick MDF and has a cutout of 5 15/16" - carpeting is a standard dark grey material that has been glued ...

  • Think outside the box

Ordered this box and anxious to get it. Read reviews about cheap material and cardboard. Well that's perfect to epoxy and fiber glass the outside, top and inside entries of sub and port. You will have a really good box considering it sounds good even though it's cheaply made. Don't forget to insulate and if you really want to can also caulk the inside. This box is a perfect template to fiberglass.
