About this product

Product Information

This tiny 7 oz camera lens is among the most portable in Nikon's lineup. The wide-angle lens catches all detail of the subject, making it ideal for anyone from photojournalists to hobbyists. The flick of a switch transfers the camera from automatic to manual mode for uninterrupted shooting with either focus option. This lens has a standard 35 mm focal length, which makes it ideal for candid shots taken on-the-go. In addition, the Nikkor AF-S has a silent wave motor, making its autofocus feature a snap. It has a wide enough focus to let the photographer get up close and personal without disturbing the subject, so it is ideal for animal photography as well. The lens coating is specifically designed to reduce discoloration and flare for a crisp shot every time.

The photo lens arrived in less than 3 days from Japan to the U.S. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The lens looks and operates like new and was nicely packaged. A brand-new lens like this would cost me at least twice as much. The seller is very friendly and cooperative. Responds to inquiries very quickly. I highly recommend this seller for anyone interested in high quality original photo equipment and accessories from Japan.

I cannot begin to express how satisfied I am with the transaction. Questions to the seller were answered extremely fast (being in the USA the time zone difference was considerable). I wish dealing with merchants here was as good as working with this seller. They were very polite and courteous. The shipping speed was faster than expected. The condition was PRECISE and better than was stated. It was such a good experience!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you!!!

    Excllent Lens!

The lens came from Japan in the exact condition as described. It arrived 2 days before it was scheduled, and was delivered in person by a semi-private carrier. Just make certain that your camera can couple & meter "thru the lens" ( many can't) since it is an older AF, not AF-S. I have already taken a couple of hundred shots with this lens. The lens arrived clean with no internal dust or mold, and it performed exactly as I had hoped, if you are thinking of a well priced , reasonably fast, non-professional, wide angle zoom that is well built, this one is a fine choice, & it works great on my Nikon Df.

  • Excellent lightweight Wide angle

This lens is an excellent FX lens; if you are on the go and traveling a lot. It has great focus and clarity. My subjects are sunsets and night shots of buildings. I tested the lens and I was able to capture a great sunset last week.

  • Totally WORTH it- a MUST Have Lens

This is a GREAT lens- under the radar for most who are fixated on the more popular 17-35 f2.8….but $$$ more. I love this focal range….allowing for Real Estate interior photography, to environmental portraits, to Landscapes, etc. it’s VERSATILE, very sharp, and should be considered a lens “staple” for Nikon shooters ok with old glass. Works great on my D4 and 750.

  • Extremely High Value; Cheap Parts, Great Images

This lens has a great f3.5 minimum aperture, which certainly isn't pro but is great for a mid-range wide zoom lens. The plastic build means it isn't very durable, so make sure to be careful. Auto-focusing is pretty speedy, but has a lot of trouble in low light. Just grab the focus ring to manual focus. For the price range, it's just the best bang for your buck.
