    Sensor Location

The sensor end of the wire must be out of any incoming air... the faster you go the lower the temperature reading. Then the temperature becomes useless. I tried putting foam insulation around the sensor but it didn't make much of a difference. I'm leaving it on until I can figure out a way to get a better and more stable reading.

  • Good, not great. Could be better.

Battery is not replaceable. i I just bought a new spark plug sensor because initially I bought the wrong size, but used it. My application is a Stihl Leaf blower in an attempt to recognize if I didn't put oil in the gas It doesn't help when your hired help puts gas with no oil in your can and I put it in a 2-cycle engine. I do wish it provided an over temperature ignition kill output. This has the front panel button. I don't like the fact that they don't provide the connector and pin part numbers since I had to shorten my cable.

  • Works sometimes

It worked the first time on a race lawn mower, got it up to about 330 deg and when it cooled it went back to normal air temp. The next time it was used it went to 389 deg and stayed up there for about 4 days with the motor cooled off. Worked ok this past weekend. I'm afraid to really on it. Can't expect much, its from China

  • Not so good...

It worked for a week normally and than started to fail. Within a three day it stopped showing temperature, it just shows two horizontal lines just like when the sensor is not plugged in. But it is, everything is connected tightly. I can still check the time but that is not why I bought it.

  • Works fine for now

This works great on my air cooled 250r. I just put the sender under a head bolt. Should have bought the 10mm one but it still works. There is no way to turn it off and I have yet to replace a battery.
