Good quality but didn't fit my purpose for a Beretta Model 1951

I purchased this magazine to convert it to use for a Beretta model 1951 based on a forum recommendation that it would be a suitable replacement to the original Beretta magazine with a modification for the magazine latch. I found that this magazine was too thick to fit smoothly in the Beretta Model 1951 magazine well. While it entered moderately well it took tremendous force to be able to withdraw it. (The Walter P-38 magazine is a suitable alternate to the Beretta model 1951 magazine with modification for the magazine latch). My recommendation is based on the material construction for its original intent, a Sig Sauer P225/P6. The steel body and plastic follower and base plate is a good mix for fighting rust and smooth operation. How well it really works in a Sig Sauer P225 I cannot ...

  • Top critical review

    The jury is out

Looks good, well made, great warranty. However, of the two, that I bought I have only tested one. It does not hold, the slide open following the last shot, as it should. Imwill give it some time, and try the other before comtacting the maker for warranty service. This is with a Sig P6/225. I would also prefer a flush floor plate, but that is a minor concern.

  • OK for a Range mag you don't mind fiddling with to make it work

The follower is plastic and gets hung up on the mag catch hole. I had to sand the edges off to keep it from hanging up with 3 rounds left in the mag. The edges of the steel are rough and loading is more difficult than a Sig mag. The slide would lock back with one round left. Looking into sanding/cleaning up the follower more to see if it will work better.

  • Jammed

I hate to write a negative review always. This being more neutral and in the middle. The magazine jammed after 3 sets of rounds being run through it. Jammed on #6 and repeated itself thereafter. Oiled and worked it, still jammed. I’m hoping a good cleaning and oiling will fix it but I’m not optimistic after it’s performance at the range.

  • ProMag 9mm 8-Round Mag for SIG SAUER P225/P6

Seems to be a pretty good single stack replacement mag for the Sig P225/P6 when original mags are scarce & very expensive. I bought one and tried using it in a Sig P6 and haven't had a malfunction.
