High readings.
The unit I received gave me readings consistently 15-20 points higher than at the doctor's office, where I made an appointment to validate Omron's high BP. According to the doctor's equipment, my BP was normal.

Ok, but I like my old one (2005 model) better. Mfg has departed too far from ease of use and simplicity. Clumsy to attach vs my old one.

It's easier to use than an arm BP monitor.
It works well and gives an accurate reading most of the time. It's accurate enough for me. I knew when I bought it that a wrist BP monitor wasn't going to be as accurate as an arm monitor. I wanted a monitor that was easier to use than an arm monitor and that's what I got.

... and the WHY is obvious right out of the box ... QUALITY and Long Life, comfortable and educational on HOW TO get ideal readings. Not everyone is suited for a wrist cuff that will give as excellent results as a bicep cuff but this one is top of the wrist pile, king of the competition and gold standard for wrists. There's nothing hard about using, no negatives, nada.
