    good multi-core performance

    this is the kind of CPU you can use if you require significant amount of processing, it is very good for video processing with many filters, sound engineering with lots of plug-ins, and pretty much any task that uses heavily multi-threaded operations, the CPU provides 6 real cores, more than the competition (which provides only 4 real cores but adds another 4 fake cores), it performs better than 2010-2016 generations of AMD CPUs (bulldozer), the icing on this cake is the user is free to change the speed of this CPU and adjust their own power/performance threshold to fit their requirements. however, because the CPU provides 6 cores on a 45 nm process, thermal management becomes a real challenge, without a doubt this is one of the hottest CPUs ever designed by AMD (rated at 140W thermal ...

    Still a good budget CPU for older games and modern web browsing.

    Still a good budget CPU for older games. May stutter in newer ones though. Can be power hungry but runs cool with a decent air cooler during gaming. Temps never exceed 45C even on a warm day. Can play YouTube videos up to 1440p no problem with just an entry level GPU. Can definitely run Windows 11 by adding a couple of simple registry keys if using a bootable USB flash drive during a clean install method. See YouTube video: "How To Bypass Windows 11 TPM 2.0 Installation Requirement | How to Fix This PC can´t run Windows 11". Worked for me as of 11/16/2021.

    The AMD Phenom II X6 1090T is a 6 core processor that gives you the performance similar to an I7-2600 and can use the cheap "high density" memory. This was a great setup for kid gaming instead of paying the higher prices.
