Great album on a great CD!
They might be giant’s Flood album is probably their best and most well known album. This album includes such classics as “Birdhouse in your soul”, “Istanbul not Constantinople”, “We want a rock”, “Road movie to Berlin”, and many more! The packaging is quite nice, and it has a really cool poster inside of the jewel case. Overall, a great album for those who love TMBG or alternative/indie rock in general. The only problem is that some of the tracks are kind of dumb (like Minimum Wage). Still a great and cheap album that I recommend you buy!They might be giant’s Flood album is probably their best and most well known album. A Flood of Poppy Quirkyness
Few bands show such a mastery of pop music like "They Might Be Giants". They stand over decades worth of pop music and pick and choose influences. Then they add a layer of quirky lyrics that really make it a "They Might Be Giants" album. The lyrics are constantly odd and strangely compelling. I listen with child-like curiosity waiting to hear what strange things they'll say next. "Flood" is arguably one of the biggest little albums of the past decade. The style rings with 80's synth-pop with 90's inovation all tied up with fimilar pop formulas and strange lyrics. The album is self concisly silly, including its own theme music about itself. However these songs are short and are usually over before you start complaining leaving with another song to sink your teeth into. This formula leaves the listener with few substantive songs that they'll remember later, however it is fun while you are listening. Over all it is an enjoyable album worth the listening. Buy it for the hits, stick around for the quirkiness.

Chance to relive your misspent youth
Once you have reached a certain age you begin to long for the 'good times' of past days. One of the triggers that can take you back the quickest is the music you loved then. For me it was dark and smokey clubs with alternative music blasting from the oversized speakers. On many occasions it was "They might be Giants" issueing forth from the beer soaked towers of sound. More often than not I, or one of my companions, had requested it. I had forgotten all about this band until recently when something set off a memory of those many nights. It was soon thereafter that I purchased this cd to relive what I remenber of those days. This collection is a great value. It has all the songs you remenber from the band and a couple you may not. If you have no menory of this group I would recommend that you give it a listen anyway. I paid $1 for this cd and would happily pay $ 10 for the level of talent displayed on this recording. The memories it evokes are free, as is usually the case, and probably worth more than we really give them credit for.
