    • Great all around textbook for using the view camera

While not the latest edition it contains most all of the information needed for a photography student using a view camera and film. It addresses everything from camera movements to lend optics. If purchased at the right price it is an excellent instructional book. The book does not discuss the art of photography but rather the use of view cameras.

    • Must have for view camera enthusiasts

This is the book every aspiring, beginner, as well as experienced view camera users' book shelf must possess. I also have Simmons "Using the view camera". That is the book for beginners. However Stroebel's book is almost like a mini hand book on view camera and when I browsed thorugh the contents and a few available pages on Google Books, I decided that I need this book as well. Great book, well written and well arranged content.
