I like how easy it is to play. All of the moves for each turtle and combinations are easy. You have unlimited lives which comes in handy if you get stuck somewhere. You also basically can't die unless you fall off a ledge. I bought it because the TMNT games were all a success back in the day on nintendo and I figured I had nothing to lose with a great price. This game is long which is a plus and has lots of ways to finish stages. Time is a very important element. If you constantly fall or take your time then you will not be fast enough to unlock the extra stages, and that is one of the best things in the game. I love the extras. I can't stress that enough. I don't know if this game will have any replayability once I have mastered all the levels, but right now it's lots of fun and doesn't seem to get boring.Read full review
I have played (and own) all three of the super smash bros. games and was looking for a fun alternative... this wasn't it. In Smash Up you have a health meter as opposed to trying to knock opponent's off the screen (like in Smash Bros.) and while the game can be played with any wii remote (regular, classic or gamecube controller) NOWHERE in the game does it say what the controls of each does! In the tutorial it's like "press the attack button to attack... Press the grab button to grab" without saying which button that is!!! It's so sad it's almost funny. Given that fact you've probably figured out one of the other downsides, you can't set up custom controls. Not only that but when using the gamecube controller (my fave) the C-stick, which is used a TON in Smash Bros., doesn't do anything at all. There arn't enough characters, moves or items... etc, etc, etec... BUT ALL THAT SAID... when you stop trying to compare it to Smash Bros. and take it in and of itself it's not a terrible game. If you spent more than $15 on it you'll probably feel cheated but for $15 or less it's definetly a fun play once you stop comparing it to Smash Bros. and get over the poor control planning.Read full review
This is a very fun game, especially using the innovative Wii controls....however there are times that get frustrating when you're trying to do things that the Wii remote won't respond to when necessary. Like changing to a different turtle, it seems you gotta push both the buttons at the EXACT same time otherwise it wont and you get hit by the enemies and it ruins the momentum bar you had going and start all over again. It's nice that once you finish a level, you must do it over again to find the missing coins that will unlock the special minigames. The minigames themselves are very difficult to even finish, let alone finish at a decent time to collect the 3 coins. If you're looking for a game that will take you hours to work on, this is the game for you. A solid 7 out of 10 from me.
Any turtle game is good, nice graphics my son thought it was a cartoon show, ONLY PROBLEM IS I CANT PLAY MULTIPLAYER

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) gives players the chance to relive their nostalgia for the series. Going in, the game holds a lot of promise as it is developed by Ubisoft Montreal most notablely known for their Prince of Persia series. The prospect of a POP-esque game in a TMNT world is very tantalizing. Unfortunately the game does not live up to expectations. TMNT is a third person action game that, like POP, gives players the ability of run along walls, do acrobatics, dodge traps and adds new abilities like call in your turtle brothers to pull team combos. Despite these features TMNT is no where close to the caliber POP Sands of time was. The blame can solely be put on a fact that it feels dumbed down to appeal to a very young crowd to coincide with the demographic targeted by the tie-in movie. What made POP great was (1) superb story (2) excellent game play elements (3) topnotch pacing. All these are missing from TMNT. The story is tied to the animated film and not explained as the game expects you to have seen the movie. Even if you have seen the movie it is not compelling. Despite borrowing elements from POP, the game feels too easy. There is no satisfaction from either completing environment puzzles or from the dumbed down repetitive combat that forces to you fight bland generic enemies. How can you have a TMNT game and not have hoards of boss to fight? Graphically and audibly the feels like a budget title. One can clearly tell the game was developed for the PS2 and then ported to other platforms. Even worse, the graphics and sound are that of an average PS2 game. In the end, TMNT is a budget title that should keep younger audiences mildly interested. 5.5/10 Visit my gaming forum www.gamingdump.comRead full review
I'll start out by saying that I am a Ninja Turtles fan, so I really wanted to try this one out. If you like Super Smash Bros, you'll enjoy this one. They are very similar. The biggest difference is that the fighting isn't quite as diverse as Smash Bros, and there aren't quite as many characters and levels to choose from. Still, the gameplay is very fun and the replay value is great. All in all, I'd say it's a very good game, and a cheaper alternative to buying Smash Bros.
I'm an old school TMNT fan, but I wanted a decent Turtles fighting game. Considering that Tournament Fighters is on the SNES, I wanted something newer. This Brawl clone fits the bill. At first I was disappointed in the lack of 80's turtles references, but after poking around, unlocking some costumes, stages, and concept art. I found that I could live with it. Granted that Ubisoft is retarded for sticking 3 rabbids characters into a game that's not Rayman, I can see past that and kick some shell. I love being a turtle.
Product came quickly and in great shape. Games is fun and challenging for a non gamer
