      This is the 26th Discworld novel, but Pratchett's legendary inventiveness is still strongly in evidence, and he manages to pull a whole slew of new ideas out of the hat. It is the job of the Monks of History on Discworld to manage the resource that is time. Time is stored and pumped from places where it's wasted to places like cities, where there's never enough of it.
