    Sharp !

Great 24-70mm f2.8 lens. Very well made though it is heavier than many lenses. It certainly has a lot of glass and metal in it, not to mention the electronics. Has a button to turn on/off the VC (vibration compensation) and also one to switch from manual focus to autofocus. Also has a latch to lock the lens at 24mm. Takes very good shots. Also, it's weatherproofed.

  • Great lens...however...

The lens itself is great. I own the same and a nikon mount. I just hate the 24-70 mm focal length in general. It puts me too far way from my subjects except when shooting large groups. I feel disconnected from them. But...an essential lens to have for any pro or strong hobbyist photographer.

  • A fantastic lens at a great price makes it easy to get tack sharp images!

The Tamron 24-70mm G2 f2.8 is a really great lens! Tack sharp, AF is extremely fast, and it's image stabilization is fantastic! It's build like a tank, and pairs perfectly with my Tamron 70-200mm G2 f2.8. Now I just need the 15-35mm G2 f2.8 to complete the holy trinity!

  • Great lens for the price!

This is a great lens. It's very sharp the focus is accurate but it occasionally hunts to the point where I have to switch to manual focus and then switch back. This has happened to me with my other Tamron lenses so I think it might be a Tamron issue. It's not enough of a problem that I miss the shot though.

  • "Great sharp photos with occasional hiccups."

All is good. but I noticed that it makes a hissing sound while trying to focus once in a while
