Created by Nike with Tiger Woods input, these irons hit as good as they look. Like many forged irons out there, when properly swung the results are fantastic. The sweet spot is not very large so a consistent swing is a must to work these beautiful irons. Workability is awesome, a slight draw was my favorite shot with irons. Distance was OK, not quite as long as my Titleist 735's but more consistent. I play 4-PW with Project X 5.5 shafts and maintain a 5.6 handicap. And contrary to what many reviews have said, the long irons are my favorite ones to hit. The down side is mis-hits lose lots of distance and if you don't give these irons the proper amount of attention they are easy to mis-hit. I've been told they meet the new grove rules that are now in effect, but can't say for sure. They do stop well on the green so aim for the flag. These are my first Nike irons so I can not compare them to early models, but so far they have exceeded my expectations. They will not be for everyone, they demand respect or your score may suffer, but a couple of sweet shots with these irons and you won't be able to put them down. Good luck and keep playing.Read full review
This is an awesome set of "players" irons! You get all that you could hope for from a set of blades and then some! Higher handicaps should not be turned away from these VR irons. Somewhat forgiving, and they will force you to groove a repeatable swing that can really set a golf course of fire with laser like accuracy! Distance, trajectory and flight path feel just like the ball is hooked up by radio control! The club head weight is good, and the shaft and grip are great matches to the overall package. The "graphics" are not gaudy and they look just plain classy from address! Do yourself and your game a favor and go get a set of these sticks, and I'll see you at the 19th hole!
Thanks to this seller, I probably purchased these blades at the best price ever. Thank you again! I like the blades for unprecedented workability of the ball and controlling the trajectory that I wasn't able to do with my previous set of cavity back type of irons. Long irons (3 & 4) are actually pretty easy to hit. I like the feel of my 3 iron better than a Taylormade burner 3 iron, for example. Overall, great set of irons at even a greater price.
Just spent a month hitting multiple club/shaft combinations trying to dial in proper fitting. Don't let anyone tell you the Nike blades aren't great clubs. I ended up choosing them over Mizuno, Titleist, etc... They look exceptional, especially the 8,9, PW and they are easy to work. Thought about combining the CB Nike's in 3 and 4, but the blades are just as easy to hit IMO. I went with the KBS Tour shaft and can't wait to put them in play.
These are one of the best clubs out there. The look and feel simply cannot be beat my mizuno or anyone IMO, i have tried many. I was using callaway x tours and they are great clubs just wanted to move to a blade for workability. I am a 8 handicap and i have no trouble using these irons. My first round i had a few bad shots with nice feedback but also had many AWESOME feeling shots. I think i will be very happy with these. Higher handicaps should try to demo some at ur local course b4 buying.
